Every cliche about the Camino is true: living in the present moment, walking through pain, learning to listen to your body, trusting that the day in front of you is exactly what God has for you, learning to let go–it’s all there.

They just don’t prepare you for the people you’re going to meet.

It’s always about the people, isn’t it? They’re the ones who change our lives and our hearts more profoundly than we try to do it on our own.

God brought me friends and he brought me love. Who am I to deserve such goodness?
