Hopeful yielding. It’s not grammatically correct, I know this. It should probably be “hopeful, yielding” but those aren’t the words I heard. I heard:
“It’s going to be a hopeful yielding.”
“It” meaning the process of turning my heart to Jesus, to bending my will to align with his, to giving him my dreams for my future, and that all of this is going to be a hope-filled process. He’s teaching me to hope again, to trust Him again, to believe in Him again, to release it all to Him… again.
So, I yield. I yield and I don’t break this time. I yield and, surprisingly, I hope.
