“Behold, the handmaid of the Lord, let it be done to me according to thy word.” Luke 1:38

This, the response of a humble, Jewish teenage girl when the angel of the Lord appears to her, bearing news that she has been chosen to be the mother of Christ, Son of God. Never could I compare anything in my life with this moment, but Mary’s response of surrender, faith and trust spurs a desire in me to choose to trust and surrender more, no matter the circumstances.

These are tiny moments–the brief chronicles and stories of my life. There will be failure, fear, hope, life, defeat, joy, utter joy, freedom and more freedom. Stories and lessons of trust–or the lack thereof–but always of Jesus’s continual pursuit of my heart (and yours). Just some small stories of adventures, tales of love and lessons along the way.
